Hi, I’m Pierre-Marc

I’m Pierre-Marc Cardinal. I live in Montreal and I work in artificial intelligence and automation.

Away from work, I’m a hockey guy, and more precisely a Canadiens guy. I watch every game. My friends say I’m the one who knows hockey.

I don’t have a favourite player. What I love is systems, good plays, a structured team, winning and a good story. I admire the best players for their discipline and their talent, but mostly for how they show up every night and the dedication they bring to the game.

Why I built this

I wanted a place to talk hockey and the Canadiens, check out the team we’re playing next, and verify a stat without having to go hunting for it.

So I built it. HabsMetrics is the result.

A word on the predictions

The predictions come from a model trained on past games. It gets games wrong, and I’d rather you see that than take my word for it, so its track record is public on the model accuracy page. They’re there to help you understand the game, not to tell you what to bet on.
