How these odds work
Every remaining game is priced by the same score model behind our projected scores. Each simulated season also shifts every team’s strength a little, because a team’s true level is never known exactly. Ties are broken with the NHL’s rules: points, regulation wins, regulation + overtime wins, wins, then goal differential. Backtested on the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons, the model beat a points-pace projection at every checkpoint.
